Junior Girls

The Junior Girls have gone through a large transition which is to be expected considering their age and experience level.  They always play hard and listen well.  This year was a building year for us.

The past season was a short one.  We played in two leagues; The  Hong Kong School Federation and the International School league.  However, they were all over within two months.  We had very little practice time.

In the end The girls lost every game they played except for two during the regular season but were never beaten badly.  In fact we even had an away game and took them into quadruple overtime.  We were always close.

In the International Tournament we put it together and came out and placed fourth in the league.  Tako sibi and Ruby Jane Quinn played hard behind the tenacity of Anisha Subba.  She was everywhere making steals, hustling, and getting the other team in foul trouble.  It was a good learning experience for us.  Cressida pacia showed good improvement and gained some valuable playing time.  Faith played inspired basketball and demonstrated a real zeal for winning.

Next year the team will look different as many players are moving up.  Anisha Subba, Ruby Jane Quinn, Cressida Pacia, and Faith Asis.  I am looking forward to seeing their improvement and the new players coming up.
